Start here: your handle is your login for the whole atmosphere
One handle, hundreds of apps. Here's where to start π±
π± "I was able to join successfully, but can't get back to any interesting place, I can only go into the settings page." That's how a new member described what happens right after signing up.
You sign up, you log in, and you land on a page that says "Tranquil PDS β Account manager", with settings for language, email and handle. Nothing to see, nothing to do. That isn't a mistake, and you haven't missed a step. It's just not where the fun is.
That page is the back office. haiku.garden is where your account lives, a bit like a post office box. The things you actually use live in other apps, and your handle (yourname.haiku.garden) is the login for all of them. One account, one password, and there are hundreds if not thousands of apps in the atmosphere that accept it. You never make another account.
For artists and haiku practitioners, these are the ones we think are worth starting with:
- Bluesky: social feed and conversation. On bsky.app, sign in, choose a custom hosting
- blento: your own page, already set up for you. View it at blento.app/yourhandle, or edit it
- plyr.fm: music. Log in with your handle and your page is created on the spot.
Forgot your password? Use "Forgot password" on the haiku.garden login screen. The reset mail goes to the address you signed up with.
The rest of the journey picks up from here: songs and playlists, your blento page, the weekly Naviar Haiku challenge, writing about how you made things.
